You can get a cheaper one at www.newegg.com .Its made by Evga so its a great brand.Evga and XFX are pretty much the same in my taste.Just that Evga is a little bit cheaper in price.

Do I get the step up program if I buy from Tiger Direct? (I like that site because they make stuff easy to find) Or should I buy from newegg?

Simpyl get the best deal... the step up program is a manufacturer thing. I doubt the retailer has any thing to say about it.
To be sure you could e-mail the seller to confirm the actual aspects regarding there involvement.

go with newegg if you can, tiger direct requires alot of rebates. also monarch computers had an evga 7800gt for $285 with $20 rebate and quake 4. if that is a bit much a 6800gs ahould do well for $200.

This is what I've decided on so far:
Processor: AMD Athlon 64 3700+ Socket 939
Mobo: DFI Lanparty UT NF4 SLI-DR Expert
Memory: Geil ONE 1024MB PC3200 (2 x 512MB)
Hard Drive: Hitachi GST 7200 RPM SATA-150 (<
Video Card: XFX GeForce 7800 GT Overclocked 256MB GDDR3
PSU: Ultra X-Finity 600 watt
CPU Cooling: Thermaltake Big Typhoon w/ 110 CFM fan
Case: Ultra UV Wizard Mid Tower Case
Case Cooling: 120mm/110 CFM fan (rear exhaust), 80mm/32.5 CFM (side)
Okay, I'm pretty much set, but any fine tuning suggestions? The side fan... should I make it intake or exhaust (the case has an intake vent over the processor).

that x-finity will likely be fine but if your getting top end mobo and ram you really should skimp on the psu.
