Initially I thought I wouldn't be able to find this data, but eventually excavated a PDF. Here's the data for each RPM level; the models aren't the same but the referenced fans should be identical to the ones you typically find in the shops:
Edit; trimmed the image, didn't notice that empty space on the right.
is a high static pressure index better, or lower? i see the inH2O is in the 0.'s and the fans i wanted are 1.'s in regards to the static pressure.. correct me if im wrong
edit: the measurement in the gelid site i provided are in mmaq.. whatever that is.. what is that in "inH20"?
higher is better and I can assure you this fan will be better then what you have. The swept back blades provide more pressure then just the blades on your fans. Next the typhoon is a VERY high quality fan and just get the fastest one and you won't be disappointed and just hook it to a controller for quite operations. Regarded as the best radiator fan BEHIND the 38mm fans.
Note: I will be buying them for my radiator over any other fans if that helps. I want the best quietest fans for my set up and I will show you how it preforms on a radiator.
i dont actually own em yet, but they are in the checkout in my account at ncix which has em the cheapest ive seen.. (16 a pop and thats a GOOD price) i hear the typhoons are "fairly" quiet, i want to setup a near silent if not as silent as possible for my loop. are the high speed ones audible? i dont mind a whisper but i have 1 scythe kaze 3000rpm and it sounds like a jet... and thats just 1. i know the typhoons are not 3000rpm but its just an idea of what i want to avoid.
and thanks for the feedback!
i hear alot of good things about the typhoons but they are more known that the gelid fans. but everyone i speak to that knows about the gelid's are sayign the same (great fans they say), but no one i know anywhere has been able to compare the static pressures of each fan to eachother. i know like30ninjas had em on his rad, but im not sure if they are "good" rad fans since he is the onlyone ive spoken to that has em on..

im really interested in those typhoons now.. i just wish that thread you pointed me to had the gelids in there too so i can get an idea. but thanks for tipping my scale!
I run the typhoons, and I am a noise-a-phobe. I love them. They are very quiet, and when placed with a good low fpi radiator like an XSPC or Thermochill. My 480 keeps the i7 very cool (61 I think was the highest temp I EVER saw) at 4.2 with HT on.
i would not get those fans, the static pressure SUCKS. for reference, my deltas push 15.2mm H20
And they also sound like small hurricanes. These fans are proven to be some of the best 25mm thick fans out there as far as static pressure is concerned. They are incredibly quiet and outperform some 38mm fans at low rpm. Check out martin's huge fan test, he even recommends them over other fans.
If you are using a rad with high fin density like a HWLabs GTX, these fans are not going to be very good, but in low fpi rads where static pressure less affects the performance on a radiator, these suckers are really good. True the deltas will yield always yield better results, but literally a few degrees C difference with a HUGE increase in dba isn't worth it in my eyes (erm, ears, lol!). The OP wants quiet, a low fpi (XSPC, Thermochill) rad with these fans is the perfect quiet loop setup.

You are being sarcastic right? The deltas sound like leaf blowers but the typhoons are near dead silent and perform pretty well. When on my megahalems, the difference between the load temps on the gt's and my high speed panaflo is only two degrees even though the panaflo is much louder. What I'm saying is, you cannot go wrong with the 1850rpm gentletyphoons.
Edit: Well if you don't care about the noise then of course go with the deltas.
I love my typhoons. (1850's)
I'm using them on a Thermochill HE120.3 (NOT the low FPI PA series)
Max temp @ 4.3ghz on my i7 (ht on) is 62C on the hottest core using max memory in LinX
Normal use I have them running at 5v and I idle around 31C
VERY quiet fans.
ZERO vibration or resonance in an aluminum case.
now im stuck.... the gelids sound promising but i havent found on any forums or any hardware review sites for data on their performance as rad fans.. i know they are great case fans but you all are speaking from experience with the typhoons.. i just wanna level the playing field but its proving a difficult task so far..
You wont regret it.
I've got the three on my rad and I'm planning on purchasing 4 more for my case fans.
Why on earth would I spend $100 on fans if I didnt think they rocked?
i have a bout 1 month left of homework to do and wait for my i7 build parts to come in the mail... but as of right now, typhoons have a good company of vouchers...

are there pwm models?
Sorry to bring up an old topic, but Gelid will be coming out with PWM versions of their wing series, dubbed Wing 12 PL. Here's the link:
So allthough they are louder at 43dbA, they should way outperform the GT's,
which, knowing the GT reputation, I just CANNOT believe or accept.
Somebody, PLS elaborate on this, cause I cannot wrap my mind around this.
Which are better static pressure and thus should be best for radiator usage ?
GT's or my VR's ??
If the stats are correct then the ones you currently have on should be better, but in terms of noise/performance ratio the GTs are better. A 15 decibel difference is huge, remember that decibels are exponentially related I forgot exactly how much for each decibel but yeah most of the people on here want their rig to be silent. If you're going up that high and don't care about noise you should check out those 5400 rpm GTs
. I also think depending on the radiator the static pressure won't affect temps as much after a certain point even though they do play a huge role in temps, someone correct me if I'm wrong. If the rad is really thick you'll probably see huge differences but for the most part I don't think itd be worth it.

Also, 0.113 inH2O is equivalent to 2.87 mmH20, since 1in = 25.4mm.
Keep in mind that the Frio fan spins at 2.5k rpm, so it wouldn't surprise me if the 4mmH20 as stated by tt would indeed be correct, but most certainly at the price of a much louder fan.
If you don't mind the higher volume, you can stick with your stock fan, but then again you could always get one of the high rpm gentle typhoons
With the 38mm fans you have the option of increasing the fan speed for higher static pressure for lower temps or you can keep them at a low audible RPM that equals the static pressure of the 25mm fans. I would go with a 38mm fan personally.
