And they also sound like small hurricanes. These fans are proven to be some of the best 25mm thick fans out there as far as static pressure is concerned. They are incredibly quiet and outperform some 38mm fans at low rpm. Check out martin's huge fan test, he even recommends them over other fans.

If you are using a rad with high fin density like a HWLabs GTX, these fans are not going to be very good, but in low fpi rads where static pressure less affects the performance on a radiator, these suckers are really good. True the deltas will yield always yield better results, but literally a few degrees C difference with a HUGE increase in dba isn't worth it in my eyes (erm, ears, lol!). The OP wants quiet, a low fpi (XSPC, Thermochill) rad with these fans is the perfect quiet loop setup.

You are being sarcastic right? The deltas sound like leaf blowers but the typhoons are near dead silent and perform pretty well. When on my megahalems, the difference between the load temps on the gt's and my high speed panaflo is only two degrees even though the panaflo is much louder. What I'm saying is, you cannot go wrong with the 1850rpm gentletyphoons.
Edit: Well if you don't care about the noise then of course go with the deltas.

I love my typhoons. (1850's)
I'm using them on a Thermochill HE120.3 (NOT the low FPI PA series)
Max temp @ 4.3ghz on my i7 (ht on) is 62C on the hottest core using max memory in LinX
Normal use I have them running at 5v and I idle around 31C

VERY quiet fans.
ZERO vibration or resonance in an aluminum case.

BEST fan's I've ever owned.

Highly recomended.

now im stuck.... the gelids sound promising but i havent found on any forums or any hardware review sites for data on their performance as rad fans.. i know they are great case fans but you all are speaking from experience with the typhoons.. i just wanna level the playing field but its proving a difficult task so far..

.....now, back to digging in the dirt.

Seriously. Get the typhoons

You wont regret it.
I've got the three on my rad and I'm planning on purchasing 4 more for my case fans.
Why on earth would I spend $100 on fans if I didnt think they rocked?

Lol

Static pressure changes with cfm/rpm. If you slowed you deltas down to the same cfm as the gt's they would likely lose.

Sorry to bring up an old topic, but Gelid will be coming out with PWM versions of their wing series, dubbed Wing 12 PL. Here's the link:

http://www.gelidsolutions.com/produc...=1&cid=2&id=50

http://www.gelidsolutions.com/produc...=1&cid=2&id=49

Should be arriving to newegg very soon from what I've heard. It's also supposed to improve on the former Wing's performance.
