I was wondering what the differance between the Zalman 7700 CPU cooler and the Zalman "Fa1tality" 7700 CPU cooler. They also have a Fa1tality version of there GPU cooler. Whats up with those?

They look pretty and have a red led. I think thats about the only diff between the regulars and the fata1ty ones.

So how does that make them cost almost twice as much?

I bought both for my Dothan and my X800XT, and IMO they are awesome. The fans on them spin faster, and they are louder too, and the videocard one is actually pretty loud at 12v. It keeps the X800 at less then 50*c load. I like both, but I have not tried to put the C77 cpu cooler on any hotter cpu, but for the dothan it keeps it at 41*c load @1.6v.

I would recommend them because of looks, and still pretty good. But if your looking for just performance, get a better cooler like the Big typhoon. But the videocard coolr IMO is one of the best, if not THE best.

Well, I am going for quiet, so I guess they are not my best bet. Thanks!

if you're going for quiet get a big typhoon for your cpu and a regular copper zalman for your gfx card. best performance while keeping quiet... the only thing better would be a high performance water cooling setup.

I've had the Fatal1ty CPU cooler in my setup for a month, but recently bought a Zalman 9500 cooler. The 9500 is MUCH better in my setup.
