i was after better gaming performance so i sold the 360 for £150

Cpu: Phenom II X3 425 £53.00
Gpu: HD4850 1gb £79.99
Mem: Crucial Ballistix pc8500 2x1gb £40.00
Hd: 250gb 16mb cache £already had it

Ah didn't notice that you already BOUGHT the stuff ;p

It does look good for sure.

But you meant 4650 and Athlon II X3 425?

If you got the 4850 for $79 then kudos to you. I personally would have gotten the 4670 for the same price, but no worries.

I would get another 2gb of RAM or another HDD to partition my system volume by itself.

Personally, I'd pony up for a 5770 instead of a 4850. And you mean Athlon II X3 425.

Otherwise that's a pretty good budget build, albeit locked into DDR2.

The $20 PSU scares me though, although I think it lists 36a on the 12v which is enough.

dude, he already bought the stuff. :-P

looks good man! post pics when you get it . :-)

Why would you have gotten a 4670 for the same price of a 4850? My 9600GSO beats the 4670 but doesn't come near the 4850. So if he get's a 4850 for the price of a 4670 then that's a great deal.
