What are you typing in when you're flashing?

Did you try doing the "atiflash -i" command? It'll list all of your graphics adapters. Assuming your 4870 isn't completely bricked, it should be listed with as "RV770" and will give you the location of the card in the first column. For example, let's say the location is 3.

Then follow up by using command "atiflash -p 3 biosname.bin" where 3 corresponds to the location of card.

skkhai, I tried atiflash -i and -ai on another pc using onboard video, Alas it comes up "no adapter found" The only thing i can conclude is a) card dead. or b) the onboard video is somehow disabling the pci-e port? I have not yet tired it using crossfire, or a dedicated pci card. Is it worth me trying ?

Try it. It wont hurt anything. Sounds like the PCIE port is being overlooked by the onboard.

You could still try and RMA it too. I bricked my 4870 on a flash, I just RMA'd and told them it just stopped working. They replaced it.
