Hi,

Just thought I'd share this find with you guys.
The Nichia company produces VERY low wavelength UV length. The common UV LED you'll find in modding stores is around 395-405nm if not worse. These have a lot of visible violet and you may not like the effect it produces.
Nichia produces 365-375nm UV LEDs...
Nichia imposes paperwork requirements on purchasers. Purchasers must sign paperwork agreeing to heed warnings about eye hazards of the UV, pass on warnings of the eye hazards of the UV, release Nichia from liability for UV eye hazards, and also to not reverse-engineer the UV LEDs, and not even do failure/defect analysis on bad UV LEDs without Nichia permission (I suspect Nichia fears that could yield reverse engineering data).

The common lamp type models are only sold by bags of 100 but if ya really want them maybe some group orders can be arranged on OCN ...

so do these give more of a UV affect like with UV items only showing up and not seeing alot of the purple glow

Violet is considered to be in the 380 to 450nm wavelength
These are dead in the middle of the Ultraviolet A, long wave, or black light spectrum, which is 320 to 400nm.

It should also be possible to lower the wavelength of a LED using pulse width modulation.
Supply a higher current than the nominal capacity, but in short bursts.
A LED's nominal current could be 25mA but 85mA in pulses...

Current supplied goes higher > The energy of the light produced by the LED goes higher > Frequency of the wave goes higher > Wave length of the wave gets shorter.

The drawback is it'll narrow the viewing angle.

I think the math involves quantum mechanics, so I'm not gonne even try

I wrote the initial info for this case, so that's pretty much my review. Compared to the TT Command Snow I just evaluated, if THIS case was ATX sized, I would rather buy this case than the TT...

Overall, I'd recommend passing on buying this unless you're at the store and it's the cheapest one you like. I'm more impressed by the quality of the generic Apex TX521 that Tiger Direct likes to...

Picked these up for my TRON Legacy theme build. Got the optional light bar upgrade kit(s). Note, for a quad channel package you will need two light bar kits as each covers two sticks. No issues...

I honestly love this cooler, but I think I'm gonna move on to another one soon, it just looks... A bit to bland compared to other flaming red (literally) coolers on the market.
