6800GS power up problem

Hi,I got my 6800GS a week ago but there wasn't a 6pin power cable in the box so i've ordered one. It finally arrived today. I plugged the 2x4pin molex' to the psu and 6pin one to the vga and pushed power button but my pc didn't power up. When i plug out the cables windows loads and i get that power cable not plugged error. My 6600GT works/boots fine also. I managed to power system up with 6800GS and cables few times but computer didnt booted monitor led was flashing.

What should i do? Everything is on default atm. Can that be a PSU problem? i have a 550W cheap psu but my system wouldnt even need 400W on default.

Please help me i'm so desperate i've waited 1 week for that stupid cable and it doesnt work now

do you have the two connectors for the adapter plugged into two different strings of molex connectors at the same time? If not, try that.
