I like to keep my vaseline spread minimal and out of the socket, but it's not going to do it any harm. To each their own. biggrin.gif

I'm not sure if I shared these or not yet, but I shall do so now. I love freezing memory.

do you prep your DIMMs for subzero? the heatspreaders only contact the ICs but the other SMDs are exposed to open air...
in prepping my PSC for my new memory pot I covered the everything except the ICs with LET..

The accessible part of the PCB is covered in vaseline in an attempt to prevent moisture building inside, whether that does anything at all or not is another question. It's not a big issue though, once I'm frozen I stay frozen until I'm finished, frost/ice doesn't kill anything until it melts into water. I just let the dimms dry out for a day or so before using them again.

hmm, seems like solid logic.. me likey! I already LETed my PSC dimms but in the future maybe i can skip that prep step biggrin.gif
