ya i probably should there not exactly cheap though tongue.gif i had heard that the motherboard sensors can be good down to -40 or -50 but thats prolly more of a rumor. I do have a feeling im not getting down as cold as I should be with dice though

They aren't too expensive, these things have been tried and tested by a few ocn members http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Digital-K-J-Type-Thermometer-Metal-Thermocouple-1300-C-/271037500256?pt=UK_Sound_Vision_Other&hash=item3f1b180b60 the probes tend to get stuck around -170 on Ln2 but when you get a good one they read -196 perfectly and batteries last for a donkeys age.

Tried with less ram? 8gig at 1800+ is gonna be annoying that poor denebs imc tongue.gif If -40 is correct, 5.5 @ -40°C isn't half bad, on phase at those temps have seen around 5.5 max for chips that cap at around 6.3 on ln2 and 5.7 for very high 6 chips. Once on cold they seem to scale linearly unless there's some kind of voltage tolerance issue.

And yeah, for the deneb I tend to leave all the cores active but leave 3 low and go through each one using k10stat to find the best, they tend to vary a lot between cores, at the moment the worst is holding you back.

I do the same thing for deneb and it works very well.  Use the "debug" section for K10 to clock cores individually while in windows.

honestly don't know many people that actually have the board yet so hard to say.
saw a review on youtube from Tweaktown and they interviewed Nick about the board. seems decent.

looks like good components and a 'Nick' BIOS.. thats +2 for sure.. time will tell on the rest.

So my buddy and me are in the process of designing a sub $200 Dice/LN2 cooling pot the price would include shipping. Were trying to make getting into extreme cooling alittle more affordable as currently it costs $300+ to get a pot shipped to you.

Now obviously it wouldn't be on par with something like the Kingpin F1 pots but we are shooting for something along the lines of the Koolance pots possibly a little better performance.

We are in the process of hammering out the details of our first Engineering sample pot and trying to see if anyone else would be interested in this type of POT

Had a day off so I figured getting some DICE was a good idea smile.gif
