Patch, same same. Sleeping is overated.

I havent heard of any mods that are helpful for FSB on the MIIF's..I need to play around with my skew settings a bit more..and get some Q ram that can cope better with the speeds..this cheap Viper series is good for general purpose, but starts to stiffen up once speeds ramp above 1100mhz. I feel this is my 'weakest link' for the pursuit of more FSB...

*I'm just happy as hell to run benchies with sub 50ns latency again ..the drop on temps on the NB allowed for :

PL14-> PL12
tras 15-> 13
trfc 40-> 36

..with the same voltage and 1024prime stable..next session will be tuning for runs at PL11 [no $ for RAM right now ]

We should get together to bench in that case some time

Most of my family lives down past Montreal so I usually find myself driving there at least more than twice a year

My buddy jR0ck and I got together for a little fun with his E8500... such a golden egg compared to the E8400 I was using...5.4ghz.. 1.51vcore

..some benchies..

http://hwbot.org/community/submissio...17ghz_5418_mhz
http://hwbot.org/community/submissio...7ghz_17.86_sec
http://hwbot.org/community/submissio...ghz_8sec_656ms
http://hwbot.org/community/submissio...in_34sec_563ms

Try as I may..still couldnt get anything stable above 575mhz ..even with NB lower than -50c. More runs later on..different CPU going under the hood now.. P4 551

well done CL3P20, you are around .10 ms from beating my best superpi 1m and .02 in pi fast too
post #238 of 7326
Well then..jR0ck's gotta come back with his CPU again..we got new goals to meet

*Gonna get my P5B-DLX prepped up qwk style for some runs with my P4 551 later on...up til 3am last night..may be back at it tonight too

Me and my friend teamed up yesterday for some benching.

Setup:
- Classified E760
- 920 D0 @ 5Ghz on DICE.
- Dominator GT 2000 CL8
- 2x PowerColor 5870 and XFX 5870 with MSI unlocked BIOS.
- Corsair HX1000
- Kingpin F1 EE

775 Setup.
- Asus Commando volt modded
- OCZ Flex 9600 2GB
- Celeron 347
- TX750
- Sapphire x1600 Pro for screen.
- Kingpin F1 EE
- Swiftech NB block cooled by TFC Monsta. Overkill

Here are some results from yesterday. We used about 10KG of DICE. We had a few problems booting the Commando and a lot of "FF" on the Classy. I used the settings for lowering the Coldbugg, but it still posted a lot of FF. X-Cool was moved to right positions and I followed a few tips from Shamino.

Anway, we had a really good time. And are kind of happy about the results..but I really don't know why we couldn't reach 5.1 ghz with a XP disc. Cause it was stable enough running 5.1 in 06, but gave lower score since DICE ain't cool enough.
Anyway, we are very happy that it was good enough to bench 3D's at 5Ghz on DICE.

Commando Setup. Going with Patchy insulation

Pictures..ps that is my friend.

Wow! Great weekend for some frozen benching around here.

Nice going CL3P and Kris. That's good stuff.

I've also been attempting some fun, but hitting road blocks. This i5 670 seems promising, but I keep getting BSOD's with memory error post codes that persist after shut down and clear CMOS. DIMM slots are pretty close to the the CPU on this board and I was getting some condensation on them so I dried them off, added some insulation and switched RAM. It worked and I was happily starting to tune and it happened again...... Now I'm gonna let it warm up, dry it off and grease the jabeezes out of the DIMM area and go again. I hope it's condensation and not some other problem.

It boots cold into this:

Bumped it up to 6.2 ghz and got my first memory freeze........
