thanks guys. I knew going into it this could obviously happen. it makes me feel better to know what i did wrong though. otherwise I would feel nervous trying it again. Luckily the welding place is so nice to me. They were supposed to pick the tank up today but called first to make sure I used it all. Since I didn't they are leaving it for another week for free.

they just told me they can permanently leave it at my house and come fill it up every month. So I would get 200L a month for $200 a month. That would be so great because I would only be spending $50 a weekend. Much better than the $180 I spent last weekend for 75L.

Sucks about the card, but nice to have good relations with ln2 place. I've learned that once hardware is cold, you don't stop for breaks. Once your done, gotta wait until the next day. Sometimes i've tried twice in same day, but I take things apart and let it dry off well with a fan blowing on the gear.

Another thing i've learned is don't try to force things. I've tried to make things run after a few hours when it just doesn't want to anymore. It tries to tell you, but you keep trying. Thats when stuff blows up.

Hopefully after drying off well it'll work.

What do you look out for as warning signs to stop before blowing up something?

Its just constant issues trying to boot, run clocks it used to, etc. Stuff like that. Hard to really explain, but when it's a lot more trouble than it should be just to be running. It happened to me during the country cup with an FM2 board.

Thanks, Mike. I am just trying to learn as much as possible before I try out LN2 myself and every bit helps thumb.gif

You just sort of know when something is acting weird and it's time to call it a day. Stuff just doesn't behave the way it should anymore.
This is a long shot and mite not work on your problem like it did with a memory of mine that died,no fault of mine but it died and won't go into that but the memory does still work when it has cold on it.So when your fully sure card is dead you can give this a try, just prepp the card and get it frozen before you boot and see if the card mite boot at all when it is cold, totally different items and the way they died but it won't hurt in trying it

thanks for the advice guys I will try everything. I knew it was too early to use again but I had so much ln2 and I wanted to bench so bad and the other person didn't want to use there card so I pushed my luck and payed for it. It's a lesson learned and something I will never do again. I still couldn't get the card working last night. Everything powers up and it looks fine but the mobo is not detecting it. I definitely fried something because my other classy was working great last night.
