Copper would be hard to get together though. I have some old wave guide that i have been meaning to harvest
I saw Wizerty's single dimm ram pot and was thinkin of ways i could do some pots without a mill.

best part about working in hvac, guess who gets to keep all the steel pipes, aluminum fins, copper tubing/coils that are getting replaced and scrapped? biggrin.gif last job everyone ended up with around $700 or so extra after we scrapped everything and distributed the cash among the workers that did the demo.

you can maybe make a pot without a mill but itll require a few power tools that if you dont already have them itll be cheaper just to buy a pot lol, if i had any extra stuff laying around and extra time i could always try to whip something up but lately we havent had much copper scrap to take home =\

On another note, just got my 2- Tek9 slims. Thanks tatm! Tomorrow will be my first attempt with LN2. Think I'll wait on the gpu's until I get a feel for it on cpu's first though. Fingers crossed, it goes as well as Dice. Hopefully be able to push past 5500mhz on my 3930k. thumb.gif

Good luck dude, let me know how you get on with it, very interested to see what results you get with the board and how easy it is for you to get the mod done.

Thanks. Time to scour for schematics and and info. Card only cost $60 w/ wb. I figure I'll sell the wb for $30 or so and regardless of outcome will be a good learning experience. Plan on testing on water, LN2 run and then on to hard mods. I also just picked up a 7970 Lightning for a little bit more. All goes well with 6970 and the 7970L will be next.thumb.gif

Still got 2 to go. And one of the 2 is the biggest yet

Im just wondering what to ise for the mold, since you need something rhat will vaporize once you add the molten metal..
Legos maybe?
Or some high density modelling foam, if i could ever source some

I think legos would be awesome i could so some crazy 3d stuff.

Interesting still looking at this pot I would find it hard to justify making my own unless I had a experimental design to explore

I've not but I would be hesitant to buy that. Doesn't look to be a quality pot at all, I would imagine that would heat up very quickly once any load was applied to it.

Try to look for a well know pot on HWBot, they do pop up from time to time.
