I do everything by bicycle and public transport.

And because of this, a third G3258 and Soc Force mobo came in. So I'm a happy man biggrin.gif

Now a CPU pot!

Send an restock request to highflow.nl for Kingping pots. They used to sell them, so fingers crossed they will restock so I can avoid mega import and shipping costs. thumb.gif
If not I will buy from der8auer probably, though I do not like the design of the Fusion as much.

I spent about 5000$ last year on skylake, i have everything i could need.
No stupid autofill ln2 pots but i got hands and a thermos.
Only tech stuff i dont have is bw-e and gtx1080.

I am probably just getting a 1080 or 1070 or 1080ti.

Unless theres new mem ic released i dont think theres anything else.

I havent been spending money on truck either but i got alot crap going on, dialing back on pc stuff. After a point you have to realize its just spending money. I mean i have no real use for an 8 or 10core other than picking up hwbot points.

I willprobably get one at some point but not to hold onto for longer than a month or something. Just long enough to get points and not loose my ass on resale depreciation

But broadwell is too expensive to get into for me. I cant afford multiple chips, barely afford that cpu if i stop everything else i am working on whoch i am not willing to do.

But seriously could u imagne killing one of those chips on ln2? I lost 3 6700k and couldnt afford that let alone a binned 1800$ processor

I wouldnt touch it with ln2 and itd overpower my ss phase so.... water only. Kinda no point imo.

I've got a question, when you guys bench cpu's do you delid them? And if so, do you use Coollabratory Liquid Ultra, or something like thermal grizzly kryonaut?

I will be benching the G3258 on water first.

I guess it depends on where your being limited, if temps are holding me back I'll delid. I use Thermal Grizzly, I've got some Liquid Pro and Ultra but haven't used it in extreme overclocking conditions.

I've got a 3570K thats been delid and Liquid Pro under the hood, may put that under ss at some point and see what happens.

So it can do no harm in delidding it now for better temps and when I will bench it later on dice/ln2?

My i5 4670k is delidded aswel with CLU. It works wonders, but I thought it might be very different for extreme cooling methods. It currently sits in my watercooled daily driver.

CLU is suppused to be bad for extreme overclocking as soon as you go past -50C or something. Brilliant for air/water, but not extreme cooling. thumb.gif

Lots of overclockers will delid then go sub zero

As for going sub zero using liquid metal, I'm not sure about that one. I'm yet to do it, like I say I may try my i5 3570K when I upgrade my gaming rig

You can't go wrong with Thermal Grizzly under dice/LN2 conditions as its a great paste. They also have their own liquid metal too, which I think Roman may be using on his Delid 6950X!

I delid the old school way biggrin.gif with these chips atleast. I will buy one of them delid tools in the near future.
I was quite scared delidding the i5,

But these G3258 only cost about 40 euros used here. So snapping them isn't the worst thing that can happen to your bank account tongue.gif
