Man I have been so obsessed with benching, I should have taken break last night but of course I had to bench.

It ran for about 5 min and then shutdown, I thought my cpu was dead. I tore everything down and took my can of air. And a puddle came out of the pcie slot. Didnt let dry long enough.

I realized I put let up to both sides on the slot and so the water from the previous night had no where to go.

Hopefully nothing is damaged, but the slot must be messed up.
Thanks man. I got the vgpu mod figured out on mine but I've had no luck with the mems which is what matters most, the ic doesn't have a model number so I have no clue as to what it is. frown.gif
PCIE slots are pretty tough so it should be fine, I had water in one of my boards slots and I only figured it out after running it 6 or 7 times. tongue.gif

Finished my GT 710 runs and my G3258 is still garbage even when cold, 5GHz max @ 1.6V -62c load, 5.2 would've needed around 1.75-1.8V to be stable. mad.gif
GT 710 did 1650MHz @ 1.6V which isn't too bad.

T1 = Base temp
T2 = Alcohol temp
T3 = Ambient

(GPU is coated with clear paint for condensation protection if you were wondering).

I still have around 5-8lb's of dice left so I will prep my 775 bench next for some more sub zero fun. biggrin.gif

Looking good, too bad that g3258 is junk. 5ghz @ -60 just seems so bad, To be honest, the chip really isn't good for these benches anyways. I think i tried 03 or 01 at 6.3ghz with mine and still got bad scores.

Yeah, it's just terrible. I think I'll just sell the board + cpu to put money towards an i3-6320, Z170M OCF & some B-Die, should be more fun to play with. wink.gif

Summer OC Party in Harrisburg. Awesome time with some really cool people. Picked up so many tidbits and tricks about benching that will hopefully save time and hardware in the future. Fell in love with dragonskin and hotboxing. Most of all hope to be back benching this weekend after an all too long break. Wish you could have made it Strong. Definitely looking forward to a follow-up next year.

Worked with what little LN2 I had left.

http://hwbot.org/submission/3278968_

For the people that like the pics

Had better clocks that others but didn't manage to get a higher score. Not sure if the LOD bias makes that big of a difference or not. Also had a top 5 3dmark01 for the GPU but it BSOD as I was saving the screenshot and I ran out of time. I could probably have pushed this GPU harder but I'm not sure how well the single phase would handle more voltage. I was already at 1.67

yes LOD makes huge difference in catzilla, not sure how much with 576p and such low end card but it will make a difference. It makes a huge difference in high end cards and 720p. Usually you can go really high like 15. Also sound and ram disk will help.

Guess I'll try it again in a week or two and see what I come up with using LOD then.

When you say sound will help in what way do you mean?

Got the vmod working on my GT710 last night, but even just at 1.v using the stock heatsink with a big fan it was going over 80. Went for the gigabyte boards, which have that tiny heatsink and fan, rather than a larger passive heatsink which was obviously a mistake!
Thinking of a way to bodge my phase onto the card somehow to try it cold next week, never tried a card cold though so slightly nervous!

Even just going from 1.1v to 1.2v and with the crazy temps saw an extra 150mhz or so which is nice, definitely think if I can up the volts with some better cooling should be half decent smile.gif

This challenge has definitely been a good way to try and get back into benching!
