That pushes me over budget though. Nice rig, but a bit out of my range.

how bout this, goin for good quality with lots of room to expand if anymore of your components get ran over by some random buses:

Intel Pentium D 830 Smithfield
Asus p5n32-sli
Antec TRUEPOWERII TPII-550 ATX12V 550W
CORSAIR XMS2 1GB (2 x 512MB)
Creative Sound Blaster X-Fi Sound Card
Western Digital Raptor WD740GD
Thermaltake BigWater SE water kit

As for the vid cards you can get dual 7800 gt for 700 for both, or you can get just one 7800 gtx for around 400-450 and just wait until more taxing games come out and then step up to sli. I have a 7800 gt oc and I find that on some games, FEAR, for example, on the maxed out settings on 1200 x 1024 the frame rate can drop into the noticeable range.
The case is up to you. I love my Thermaltake shark case, It has a kickass removable mobo tray that has saved me so much work.
Also the dvd drives are up to you. The best out there is the new plextor dvd drive but that is 170 dols so you can make up your mind on that one.
That should fit your budget

Thanks! That looks good, exept for the fact that I dont want to water cool this system. It will be used for a lot a business stuff, so I want to make it as reliable as possible.

Then buy an extra huge, slow, cheap hard drive and configure a Raid1 array if you're not gonna stripe to protect your data. It'll save a headache down the road. (if someone has mentioned this already, disregard)

I'm not worried about my data being lost (I do ragular backups to a server), but I have had problems with my water cooling system (do NOT buy a water cooling system for $75!), so I am going air cooling with this one.
