Which Brand for O/Cing - Page 2

Thread Starter
are the ASUS 6600gt's good for overclocking???? i'm thinking about getting a PCIe 6600gt for about 3months to put into my new system, then selling it... just so i can get enough cash to get a 7800gtx later...

I'm buying the DFI nf4 SLi-DR Expert, a silverstoen 600w PSU, and Opteron 146 in about 3 weeks.

Yes, it's OCable, you could do a search on the forum on how to do it....just install NVtweak from www.guru3d.com and then run it, enable everything and go to nvidia control panel and you'll find it there, and if you don't get how to do it, again, do a search

buy a XFX 512mb GTX XXX edition. It has 580/1730. If you want extra 3dmark pts then just overclock it and optionally buy a aftermarket cooler, but no game now, or probably in a year, can stop that beast 24 pipelines is plenty ^^

or maybe you should buy the x1900 with 48 pipelines? thats suicide crazy, cant wait for the benchies

Leadtek is known to make extremely overclockable cards due to their large heatsinks.
