2 psu disasters

disaster 1.

Antec 550w TP.
http://www.overclock.net/attachment....1&d=1134921489
totally unusable due to the cabling coming out of the PSU next to the rear fan !
see:
http://www.overclock.net/power-suppl...u-puzzler.html
so i got a refund.
disaster 2.
i got a replacement for it, a Q-Tec 650w triple fan.
i was happy with it at first as it cooled my case down, unexpectedly.
see:
http://www.overclock.net/power-suppl...gree-drop.html
since i put it in, though, i have had some really negative comments about this psu, and now reckon i need to replace it before i consider OC-ing my system.
so i'm back to square 1,
i need a good quality PSU that will run my OC'd system reliably.
all/any advice welcome.

well if you don't want to worry... go for a seasonic s12-600 it's been at the top of most of the recent reviews/torture tests. I've had one going for a few months now and it's leaps and bounds better than my Aspire 500w. you could probably do with the s12-500 with your system

other good psus
ocz powerstream 520
enermax noisetaker 600w
enermax liberity
silverstone strider 600w
pc power and cooling 510 express
you could try the new antec neohe500
the new fortrons... they are actually sparkle psus... and top quality
fsp... find one that will match your system.

here's a couple i have looked at:

http://www.antec.com/us/productDetails.php?ProdID=22552
http://www.antec.com/us/productDetails.php?ProdID=22551
http://www.fsp-group.com.tw/english/...d=98&proid=462

E1701, well, thats sort of encouraging, pls let me know if you DO have any problems with it tho'.
have you OC'd much?
have you also found that the 3rd fan makes a big difference to your Case/cpu temps?

Well i have found that the 3rd 120mm fan at the bottom of my psu does help cool my system down quite alot to be honest and yes i have overclocked to 4ghz with a rather large v-core and i still had no problem at the moment im runnig at stcok as i dont wish to kill my system lol but at the moment u have a million case fans in my system amongst other things which really does put a strain on a psu and to be honest my qtec is doing great..i have no problems at all.

antec makes awesome PSUs that must have been a fluke or something. Try out one of their new NEO 550HE models. they are completely modular and have plenty of power on the 12 volt rail. 57amps on the 12 volt rail I think
the thing about antec is that they are modest about there power ratings.
