How do you make Speedfan Run at startup?

Please Because it regulates my fan speed, and otherwise my CPU would run a little hot -- and other people use this computer and don't know to turn it on!

Start > Run > Type ''MSCONFIG'' > Go to the ''Start up'' tab along the top > then you check the box's as to what you want to start and not to start on start-up!

How do I add to that list? It's not on the list.

yes msconfig, but if theres no "speedfan" option there, then id google it matey, my experiance with things like that, You cant just click it in msconfig, its normally done in the actual program, e.g: limwire, unless you unclick for it to startup when the pc boots it will auto startup

You can just drag it into the startup folder. Check the attachment for the route if unsure.

No, drag the .exe file that you want to load on startup into the "Startup" folder. The route is in the pic above. If you drag the Speedfan.exe file into this folder then it will load everytime you start the PC

I figured that out; but it didn't totally work, I had to create a shortcut to the .exe because the .exe makes a few files exactly where it's located, so when the computer turned on, it tried to startup those .cfg files and it would cause some error havoc.

Edit: I mean the shortcut way worked, not the .exe

Okay, try dragging it directly from the start menu, as in the attachment, directly into the startup folder.
I've just done this on my machine and it works without any errors so it's definitely possible.

Or just add it to registry...
Start
Run
Regedit
Expand to:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\\SOFTWARE\\Microsoft\\Windows\\ CurrentVersion\\Run
Right click right pane
Select New + "String Value"
Name it "SpeedFan"
Double click it
For value enter: "c:\\program files\\speedfan\\speedfan.exe"
(or whatever path - quotes are important if there are spaces in the path.)
