You will notice a difference without overclocking, in 3dmark03 I jumped about 1.5-2k after unlock and even more when I started OCing. For me I get the most additional performance when I OC the memory.

I noticed that in my option on my Nvidia 6800 properties window, there is now a selection for clock frequency settings. Do you have this on yours? So I can just use that to OC and not have to use Riva Tuner now? It also has an optimal settings that it finds automatically. I tried it and it gave me 360 core and 769 memory clock frequencies.

Hey I'm new and I have a question for mirunit, now I am thinking of buying a bfg 6800 oc and how is it with the stock cooling for ocing?
The stock cooling is not that bad, I idle at 46-48c and load around 55c running at ~350/800

Since I ahve unlocked my pipeline and vertex shader, I am noticing some graphic anomolies. Like in BF2, i have this weird flashing. Sometimes even on COD:UO. Can anyone explain what this is and how I get rid of it.

Thanks, and Merry Christmas.

yeah my evga 6800 does that from time to time at 16/6. Fix: run the card at 12/5 like it's supposed to, it's a good card at these settings. Mine runs doom3 all settings high aa/af max at 1024*768 getting a constant 60fps SOLID. Also my cpu seems to bottleneck me as I get a BIG gain with cpu overclock and a small gain with gpu overclock. Here's where I'm at with this card.
all scores are with 12/5
merry christmas

Try turning down your memory overclock, I get some shuttering above 807. Otherwise I have no problems at 16x6.

I havent touched the overclocking at all. It is still at the same speed. Look at one of my previous post regarding the Nvidia settings menu regarding oc'ing.

What is the term for the flashing in the game?
