Could use some help deciding on new CPU cooler

Thread Starter
I've been thinking about upgrading my stock CPU heatsink/fan so I can do some decent overclocking and to generally just keep my CPU cooler (gets to be 53C @ full load) and I was wondering if any of you could help me pick a decent one out. Like a bunch of other people, I've heard good things about the Big Typhoon, is it really worth it? ... and would it fit my system alright?

Input would be greatly appreciated.

the big typhoon is a legit fan but it is BIG.. if your one of those people who moves thier computer alot youll want to take it off every time.. as far as cooling goes tho that thing is amazing for air.. personally, id go liquid cooling.. but the typhoon will probably work for you.. the hyper 48 is good too..

I would reccommend the Big Typhoon and AS5. Dropped my temps about 10 degrees. Its cheap at newegg: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16835106061

Jekz: Yea... water cooling is quite appealing but I don't have the money right now to invest in that.

footballplyrdan: Yea, that's where I planned on getting it from and I already have some OCZ thermalpaste laying around somewhere so I don't think I'll get the AS5.

Big Typhoon it is I suppose.
