a geforce 6200 is a serious downgrade from the x850pro, keep your card, find a mobo that supports agp 8x (the agp pci-e thing is just icing on the cake, not necessary)...
if you want a single core get 3700+ san diego
if you want a dual core get X2 3800+manchester

edit; the dual core has two actual (identical) physical processor located on the same chip

the x2 3800 + has 2 seperate cpu's running @ 2.0ghz with 512kb l2 cache each
the 3700+ has 1 cpu running at 2.2ghz with 1024kb l2 cache

go to new egg, select amd compatable motherboards, select the socket 939 and agp 8x tabs and come up with a list of boards, narrow it down in this thread or by yourself and enjoy

I'd get the 3800+ X2 since alot of new programs will be coming out with duel core support, I think you'll get more use out of this cpu in the long run even if it doesn't oc as well. + upgrade to pci-e and sell me your x850 pro

I have my x850pro sold already. Iam getting a evga 7800gt for sure, and iam still in between a 3700+ and a 3800 x2 (for gaming) Now i dont know what mobo to go with. I want SLI and iam willing to spend around $150. Iam worried about DFI because i hear that the bios is really complicated and this is my first time OCing (if i do end up ocing)

Asking for advice on purchasing decisions, is great.

But also try asking your group of friends this: " I have $50,000 to spend on a car, what should I get?". Obviously you are going to get a myriad of answers, all based on their own preference and experience. Some may want to save money, others may have brand loyality, while others... you get the point.

My point on picking a mobo is that you should:

Determine what you WANT in terms of performance/features/ease of use.
Determine what you actually NEED in performance and features.
Determine honestly how much you can AFFORD or are WILLING to spend.
Narrow down your selection of boards based on this criteria.

Once you have done that, come back and post a poll of the top three boards you're considering, and we'll have a vote!

Good luck with your build!

The ASROCK MB has given me no problems at all have my 3700+Sd at 2750 Stable.. Was running a 6600GT AGP until I got the 7800GT.. Easy to use. Overclocking is not too hard.
It is a little cramped on the MB, but if you are not putting to much other stuff on it, you should be fine.
