Possible corrupt File?

Thread Starter
(I didnt know where to put this so forgive me if you feel it should be somewhere else.)
Whenever I play Counter Strike Source and someone from AIM IM's me and i have to temorarily get out the program (css), it closes when i try to get back in and gives me an error. It says that the hl2 file needed to close and asks if i want to send a report. This happens everytime i play and im IMed and i would usually shrug it off but my friend's computer doesnt do it and it allows him to get back into the game. I was thinking that one of my files could be corrupt but that could mean one of several. Is there a trick around this?

Your files are not corrupt. That is a know issue with the Half life 2 engine based games. Its actually addressed on their webforum. You can always try scanning your game cache files for errors by clicking on this link:
