No more (stable) Venice 3200+

Thread Starter
Hi,

At 2550MHz, my venice fails Prime95, even with 1.5v Vcore, and idling at around 19C, 27C on load. I've seen people get it up in the 300s - how is this possible?!
Could my RAM be a problem? Even when I put a divider on it, it sometimes won't even boot (ram frequency too low).

If your temps are okay, i'd push your vcore a little higher. upto ~1.6 vcore shouldn't be a problem

Can you lock your pci-e? Maybe your ram voltage is too low? What about loosening your timings? My corsair value ram got me up to 2.6 without errors for over 8 hours. Also what kind of cooling because if that zalman is keeping it at 27 all by itself I just may need one of those.

run divider if you have to. is corsair value ram even rated at anything above 400 mhz? i know that my corsair xms was rated @ 500 MHz ddr w/ slightly looser timings. i <3 TCCD. DFI boards should have an option to jack up your vdimm a lot. i thought they were around 3.5v max?? its somewhere up there. also update your bios. if you can, just try to run 260 x 10 and run a 166 divider. actually you needa work your way up to it, but hell, just try it

IMHO corsair RAM is ****e, I jsut got it to switch on the PC lol. New RAM ASAP.
FSB @ 250
Multi x10
HT multi x4
Ram locked to 166MHz

What else do you need to know so I can go look on restart.

Cooling is 120mm case in from outside (duct) and jsut the Zalman on the CPU

I live in Ireland BTW
