next video card upgrade?

Thread Starter
so yeah i started with a computer that i bought from a store about 1.5 years ago . it was the emachine t2958. i started with simple upgrades like ram and case and video card.
Right now i have a Radeon 9250 256mb video card and it works really good for me but i think i will be needing a upgrade to play some of the new games that i am getting for xmas such as F.E.A.R. and Call Of Duty 2.
anyone got any suggestions for a really good ATI video card?
PLEASE NO NVIDIA!!!! >.> im not a big fan of them and i slay them hehe
*they call me rabies... the nvidia slayer ^^ LOL*

**ALSO!! it has to be Pci not pci express i dont have a damn AGP slot on my Motherboard... lol**

THANKS!!!

I'd say you have one of the best PCI cards in your system at the moment. If you want a GFX upgrade, I think you're going to need to upgrade the motherboard to AGP I'm afraid

I know nothing about Intel I'm afraid, but hopefully people will be on later who can help.
If you do go AGP an x700pro or 9800pro would be quite good cards for your system, but spend as much as you can afford. Better performance from a 6600GT, but that's Nvidia

For a socket 478..here..is the ASUS P4P800-E DELUXE for US $ 114.00

If you want for a cheaper motherboard try the MSI 848P NEO V..here..for US $60.00

As for the graphics solution you are looking at a 9700pro or 9800pro. Anything lower will dissapoint.

cheers..and be happy not mad !

man definately upgrade to pci express agp is being phased out already and when it comes to the next up grade youll have to replace your mobo again!
just get a good celeron pci express mobo off ebay. there not that expensive.
