Far Cry question

Thread Starter
Just installed my 6600 GT card. Plays the game great. As I use the night goggles the video intends to run a little laggy/slow.

I am thinking I should boost up my PC ram. I have 2- 256mb/ 3200ddr ram (512mb ram). Should I get another 1- 512mb ram to maybe have no game play issues. make it 1 gig of ram?

The games runs great, but as soon as I turn on them night vision goggles,, its just annoying. So I am thinking I need to UP my RAM. What you guys think?

Well, going up to 1 GB of RAM is always good, but it might not be the problem. If you could fill out your system specs, we could help you better.
Fill out your rig specs in your User CP as that will help us help you

And yes, I'd say that more ram would definetly help, although I would like to see what esle your running

Yep, certainly wouldn't hurt to move to 1GB of Ram. Less use of the HDD which should help speed things up nicely

Well, it's not just the wattage that is important. It's the stability of the rails and what amperage are on the rails.

BRB, lemme find something for ya.

Ok, take a look at this.....
http://www.newegg.com/Product/ShowIm...y%20-%20Retail
That's my PSU and if you'll look at the chart, you can see the 12v+ rails, I have 2, some only have 1 and other may have 3, just depends on the PSU itself. You total all the rails together, so that would make this PSU have 38A on the 12 rail.

For your 6600GT, you need a MINUMUM of 400w with 24 amps. Optimal would be 500w with 30 or more amps for future upgrades

So you think my lag is due to the power supply??
Not sure wha you mean by rails ect. But if I need a better power supple, I'll do it, but I dunno for the close to 100.oo range. Anything cheaper your recommend? Maybe less then $50?

Thanks again
