the medic is part of your squad and it made for an interesting game you couldn't charge head long into hell and expect to live

Why the cop out from game designers the new system is even easier than medkits scattered about. Id love the idea EA had to be used more, it was 20x more realistic than before and made you careful not to get hit cause you knew after so many near deaths you couldnt get healed again

The health system is made for the same people who iwnet is made for. Its too hard to have a set amount of health, the same way its too hard to find a server from a list.

Personally, I love the setup Fallout 3 has. Get hurt and your health doesn't automatically regen. However, there's a myriad of pretty realistic ways to un-hurt yourself. In that game, it takes the form of:

Stimpaks you have to find/store/use on your own
Sleeping
Eating/drinking something
Paying an exhorbitant amount to an ex-slaver to have him patch you up.
Limping to your home and using your own infirmary'

MAG has it to where you do not regenerate health. There is a medic specific class, or you can heal yourself ( the # of times depends on if you put points into that field ). It's pretty realistic and I have enjoyed playing it so far.

CoD:UO had health packs.

Great game.

Yeah, except by level 12 I have over a hundred stimpaks. I just have them hot-keyed to [3] and I never die unless 1.) MMM decides to crap a Deathclaw Matriarch +entourage on my head, 2.) I'm playing on very hard, or 3.) I'm really unlucky. I never bother to heal by drinking or sleeping or any other way unless I'm using a realism mod.

yea COD:UO was the last triple AAA title to use medkits, then they all went to auto regen

LOL talking about realistic!
having a medic run up to you, wrap a bandage around the wound, and then you are all spiffy is not realistic.

NEW GAME!
you get shot, you fall, medic runs over and quickly tends the wound while a teammate calls in a rescue helo. you are then airlifted back to base where your character sits in the recovery unit for a few months and is then discharged and you live your life with "that scar" from the war......realism is FUN!

true, but then again, if you are playing a fps, you are bound to get shot just about everywhere.
