higher temps

ok ive got the new water block and cold plate installed correctly and am now getting idle temps of about 20c and load of about 40c @ 1.7v at 2800mhz ( 1gig over stock) with the ambient at around 40 - 45 c ( it was 39c here in adelaide today). the major concern is the way ive got this 226 watt TEC powered, its running off a psu which is only modded with extra thick wires and is 16 amp at 12v, I know this is not enough but whilst im shopping for a power supply that will do the job and make all the difference (somebody say it will please) can I get any more grunt out of this cheap psu, can i join the 5v wire in to the circuit or is that just not going to do anything at all, or can i get another psu rated at 6 amps at 12v and add that to the circuit and see if that makes a difference??? Im goin to have to leave this little dillema in your very capable hands because its 2 am in the morning and ive just been called back into work....GREAT!!!!! bugger me, anybody want a job?? have mine!!,,,,,cheers and have a beer for me can you

this is the one I have as my secondary!! I love it. powers my 320W TEC wonderfully.

Get a bigger TEC and see sub zero idle temps!

Im still having no luck in getting descent temps, Im now running 2 radiators which should help out, I went to a 13.8 v @20 amp dedicated psu and that didnt help at all (that was with 1 rad) and seemed to push a lot of hot air through the rad (maybe it was overheating?) Im thinking maybe the pelt is not seating correctly on the water block and cold plate, maybe I have to use more thermal paste or even step up the power supply again to something a lot more hefty. anybody else running a 226 watt pelt and what power are you putting through it?? Im also unsure as to what this pelt is suppose to run at power wise, it said nothing on the packet it came in, it only said that it is the same as what swiftech uses??? this is driving me a little bit nutty to the point where I nearly went back to a good old heatsink, but I will persist a tad longer yet.....
