Mouse stuttering in some games

My mouse starts to stutter when i move side to side, its very hard to aim, and really annoying when i snipe in tf2. This problem started to happen right after my mouse stopped doing random double clicks when i click it once. ive tried changing USB ports and updating mouse drivers. but i still get the same problem.

Here's my system info:
Razer Deathadder
Razer Arctosa Keyboard
DFI DK LP P35 mobo

Programs i have running while playing games:
Steam
Fraps
Deathadder driver
BitDefender AV
Firefox
iTunes
MS Word
MSN

BTW, this problem only happens in SOME games, like l4d2 and tf2. not in css or cod4. Is there anyway i can fix this??

Hmm, I had a similar problem before. Only it was a wireless mouse, and it turned out that the wireless receiver was dying on me. Maybe the same thing here, and the connection cable is bad?

It's possible, I've had this mouse for a year now, so it could be getting old.

So it messes up when you strafe back and forth, or when you move the mouse? If it's the former, that's a game/PC glitch. If the latter, sounds like a bad connection somewhere, either in the mouse itself, or at the USB connection. But since it only twitches when you move it, I'd say there's a loose wire in the mouse itself, and the physical movement is changing the position of that wire.

I'd RMA it if I were you, that's just plain defective product IMO. You could borrow another USB mouse to verify that it's not the PC itself (doubtful, but possible), I'm sure they're more likely to help you out if you do some basic diagnostic tests.

I found a similar problem on the logitech forums. They said it stuttered while playing LFD and TF2, the user said he fixed the stuttering by turning off multicore support. Dont ask me how or why it would cause it but its worth a try to see if that fixes your stuttering problems.

H All,

I just had some great success at resolving my mouse stuttering problems.
These problems happened when I held a WASD key whilst moving my mouse, it threw up noticeable stuttering.
(FYI most noticeably while playing 'I Am Alive')

Simply..

Goto your Mouse Properties | Pointer Options and turn off 'Hide Pointer While Typing'

Worked a treat for me, hope it does for you too.

maybe its microstutter?
Try limiting the framerate to 59 in radeonpro, or run a game in a window (not joking - Plenty of games stutter like hell at 60fps on amd cards. Just lower one below refresh rate)
