Are you sure you are applying and saving your settings? My settings reset/downclock with my x700pro also, even while I'm in games.

yes I'm applying them and I tried 3dmark05 and got a score of 8000 from my 9166 I got a first

Did you use the auto overclock? Sometimes that wont work right and it sets the clocks lower.

I can't OC this card even after a reformat it still won't oc with ati tools so is there any other software I could use I can find the max oc with ati tool but when I start ANY graphic demanding it sets the speed to 475 from 600

edit: it even downclocks @ STOCK speeds :swearing: :swearing:

Just so you know, people are having great successs with flashing the BIOS with the Platinum Edition bios which ups the voltage slightly. They're getting 765 core on water cooling, which is faster than the Platinum Edition.

well if I could oc I would try to upp the vcore but mine dosen't it just oc down

no but I found on http://www.techpowerup.com/ a way you should use the overdrive that came with ati and then up the voltage with ati tool new 3dmark05 record for me 9516

well after reading on some sites some of the X1000 series are having this problem and ati tool dosen't reallt support them a 100% yet but the oc utility found on driveheaven.net works I've gotten 9889 so far but can't wait untill ati tool supports the new X1000 series 100%
