5770 Aftermarket Cooler - Page 11

The Scythe Musashi does not work with a normal 5770. Mine's technically not reference but it has the normal batmobile cooler and doesn't fit. Do any work with major modding?

The Accelero Twin Turbo Pro fits on my 5770 without any modifications, i will post up some pics and numbers when i get back home.

would it work in CrossFire?

I read that the Arctic Cooling Accelero L2 Pro fits.
http://www.arctic-cooling.com/catalo...ath=2_&mID=256

It claims to even fit crossfire and it's like $20

You won't get a huge improvement on temps but it's a lot quieter

Any word on how many slots the Twin Turbo Pro takes? I'd love to run them in crossfire.

I used the accelero s1 on my 5770 (box cooler) with amazing results. I went from a 45 idle/70 load to an icy 32 idle and 55 load. I of course had to cut the fins and bend a heatpipe over the dvi ports but it was a very easy mod.

note that these temps were achieved with shin etsu and I have 5 case fans providing lots of good airflow

So it looks like there is still no "real" solution to cool our cards. I've just ordered two HIS IceQ 5 Radeon HD 5770 Turbos (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16814161333). I hope they stay cool. To me, the only definitive answer is to water cool. The blocks are slim and low profile for crossfire.

Are there any reviews of the EK full cover water block for the 5770? Or is anyone here using one? Have been looking and unable to find anything about performance of this block.

The IceQ Turbo suffers from poor design. I'm going to be modding the shroud or removing it entirely to see if that improves performance.

An L2 Pro would be solid if you had the room for it. I'm trying to find a good solution that does not exceed the 2nd pci slot as I'm limited in the ITX format. I'll post when I come up with something.

I bought the L2 Pro but the website was terrible so I cancelled. Can anyone recommend a site that sells them at a decent price. Preferable 2 + shipping for $50 or less
