I'm intending on cooling my memory chips, Anyone know if I'm better of buying zalman ZM-RHS1 = http://www.zalman.com/Eng/product/Pr...ad.asp?idx=136 or buying the Accelero L2 pro and using the Memory chip coolers/VRM coolers = http://www.beareyes.com.cn/2/lib/200905/07/004/1.jpg and having a extra vga cooler if a time arrives to need it ( or use it on my Ati 4830).

The Zalman chips seem to be 11.50$ while the accelero l2 sells for 20$

What about either of these:

http://www.arctic-cooling.com/catalo...ath=2_&mID=101
http://www.arctic-cooling.com/catalo...ath=2_&mID=379

Only lists one 5000 series card and thats the 5870, has the die positioning changed a lot since the 4000 series?

On my 4830(Pretty same pcb as a 4850) the die is positioned closer to the middle-end of the card( About 5-6 inches from the monitor connectors on the pcb, card total length 8.5~inch), My sapphire 5770 the die is closer to the video connectors at around 2.5-3inches on the PCB ( 5770 card length 8inches~).

Those 2 heatsinks you linked, they'd probably have a lot of overhang past the io/monitor connectors, it depends on the design of the card, that heatsink may work on a Powercolor 5770 http://img.hexus.net/v2/news/PowerColor/PLAYHD5770.jpg where the die seems to be very far on the right and is single height i/o panel, possible also on this HIS card; http://images.logicbuy.com/datastore...phics-card.jpg

So does anyone know why the HR03GT doesn't fit (according to thermalright)? The dimensions listed on performance-pcs are identical for the GT and rev A models. What's the issue? I'm in serious need of more cooling but it looks like another water loop is my only option...

It may just be that Thermalright haven't updated the page. You could risk buying it and confirm it fits for us. Depends on if you have that kind of money to risk
