Sccr i appreciate you taking the time to help me here. THanks a bunch

But that just lets the DTS and dolby processor be controlled. Its still not a Pure Transport.
If this thing had pure transport, I should be able to do WHATEVER i want to the settings, EQ, and effects and only the analog audio output would be affected. NOT the digital out.

In order for digital sound to be processed, it must be converted to analog.
In this case, the x-fi is taking the digital signal, converting it, processing it and then converting it back to digital.

Anyone have experience with M-Audio orr e-mu cards?

My Uncle has an M-Audio in his music system. I absolutley love it. Some of the flatest, purest sound I have ever heard. Here she is:

He takes ProLogic II direct from the DVD and outputs i to his Denon reciever. (No processing on the card whatsoever, pure digital all the way. I think that's what you are looking for.)
