Fans for watercooling?

Thread Starter
Do you think you need a high performance fan for the radiator?

Should you go for raw CFM, or for quietness....

I have a few Delta's from my old air cooling days (boy it feels good to say that lol)

Should i look at some lower speed, quieter fans, with a lower CFM?

Do you think the higher CFM fans cool a radiator make that mucha difference?

I cannot use panaflo fans - as they dont have RPM wires -and my thermaltake fan controller doesnt like those... (get an annoying alarm that flashes when not using an RPM corded fan..gay i know, but i love the controller so...)

thanks )

I would go for a balance of quietness and CFM rate
Get some of these if you want the best balance of both: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16811999344
or a couple of these: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16835129030

Actually Panaflo does make fans with RPM wires look here. I have these exact fans and I love them. They push air and are actually really quiet for the work they do.

Get variable speed fans, thats what I use but never have to turn them up.

Personally, I don't think higher CFM would make enough of a difference for you to justify having to listen to a constant jet engine. Test it yourself, see what the temps are like.
