Hi,

the only way to verify that your overclocks have been applied 100% correctly to both your cores is... CCC (overdrive section). And (at least for my case) I managed to make MSI AB work properly with 10.8 Catalyst drivers ONLY when I downloaded the latest MSI AB version2 beta7 from guru3d.

For some reason, in my pc earlier versions of MSI AB were not compatible with latest 10-8 catalyst drivers.

Regarding the voltage required I can tell you that the safe "area" of core voltage control is 1.05-1.16v. I have seen some people going further, and achieving even better results, but after a discussion with some friends of mine working for ATI, the safe area of core voltage operation for lifespan and safety of the card is 1.05-1.16v. See what you can get through CCC overdrive section and MSI AB voltage control using the above range of voltage.

Here are the results and differences between different core/memory settings with unigine heaven 2.1 benchmark:

The choice is yours

Ok, i had a issue now, i was playing CS:S, and my temps was about 100 gpu1, and 97 gpu2, i released, that i was because fan was working on 20% speed, so my pc crashed, i restarted it, and check to use 70% speed.
Temps in idle 35, at load 68-75, is it safe?
And question number 2, Is anybody had this issue, that fan suddenly went for 30% speed?
Cheers.

I was having temp issues to, that was before I installed an accelero xtreme. Now everything is running great max temps of about 67c while playing games on eyefinity. I really can't tell if the fans are adjusting as they are programmed on MSI afterburner's custom fan profile, the fans are so quiet. I think 78-75 temps are fine btw.

Hey guys, haven't posted in a while. I RMA'd my 5970 because I was getting weird flashing textures (they had to be dark or black to happen), and I got my new one in. My old card did 850/1200 at 1.147, but this new one does it at 1.125. I'm happy as it seems I got a slightly better performer, I'll find a maximum overclock later but I've got gaming to do!

So, if the OP still updates the list, change my voltage from stock to 1.125V, thanks.

Weird, as far as I know ALL HD5970's do 850/1200 @ 1.125v

Anyways, enjoy your new card

I having 1 issue now, and i hope i can solve it.
I've got 5970 overclocked to 900/1200 with 1.125v, everything is ok(even temps), but i've got 1 issue, this issue is crysis freezing with blackscreen, but i still can hear the sounds of the game, and i wanna to know, is this because of crappy game, or because overclocking? The only way to go back in desktop is rebooting a pc.
10.8b catalyst hotfix, 10.8 app profiles, crysis 1.2
Thanks.
