Uninstall anything that has to do with overclocking if you can. If not just reseat the GPU that's should set everything back to stock just incase you missed something.

hey guys should have joined long ago but forgot so. anyways running 1000/1300 clocks now, even if gpuz for some reason shows 1200 i dunno why any help with that would be nice, and yes i am running the newest version/drivers etc.
tested the new clocks on crysis with my phenom II 965be c3 running at 4ghz and i got

57.96 avg fps with 8 AA
58.65 avg fps with 0 AA
resolution was 1400x900 which is kinda small for this card ye i know.
but doesn't this proove the fact that u don't have to use an i7 with this card

Was proven in a benchmark review of the card that a AMD P2 (even a 720) only requires 3.0 Ghz clock or slightly higher and you will only see a small % of bottlenecking due to the CPU vs an i7.

ye though i saw one dude that got the i7 980 straight from the factory the funny thing is that when using that and even when OC'ing it the 5970 only gets faster and faster
when he reached 4ghz he got over 40000 in 3dmark vantage for both cpu and gpu

Well yes on benchmarks you can get better scores when increasing the CPU clocks. I was referencing real world results in games that you would see a minimal difference in fps from 3.0 - 4.0 for instance.

Your CPU and GPU overclocked at all? If so what are they at?
