Oh I know I can, but I'm saving up for a TEC or SS system so ATM I'm only using the stock cooler so 3.9Ghz/4.9Ghz is my max overclock without overheating ATM. But yeah I was using 10.2 drivers (10.3's F*** up my PC ) and 920/1225 for my clocks, which for some reason beat my 955/1225 score but maybe its because the clocks were unstable or something dunno for sure.

Alright, got my SSD installed and am now wanting to OC my 5970 at least to 5870 speeds 24/7.

I have Afterburner what other programs would you recommend for stability/monitoring.

Also, what is some good recommended 24/7 voltage, temps, and clocks. Just trying to get a good foundation here.

Thanks!

I would try this, 850/1200 1.167V because that's the stock voltage and clocks of a 5870. Stability use the program Kombuster that comes with MSI Afterburner now, just like Furmark, monitoring just use the MSI Temperature monitoring tool that comes with it also. I use it to see my GPU temps in-game so I know how hot it gets, so If I need to edit my personal fan speed I can.

Right on, thanks for the good info.

From your perspective what would be good max temps to be running 24/7. Also what do you use to control your fan speed.

Temps for your clocks should never really hit much over 60*C I would say anything below that is pretty good. But I mean give or take a few like 61*C and 62*C I would draw the line at 65*C though. And for fan speed just use MSI Afterburner's custom fan speed tool .
