Wait, so your asking "should I spend my money on an iPod or my computer?", right? I would say its up to you, but here is some stuff to help you out: How much time do you spend away from your computer when you could be litening to your iPod? How much time do you spend on your computer? How much money do you have to spend? Think about that, then chose.

Why is that even in this section of the forums? Go post that elsewhere please.

Go with an iPod dude they're awesome! I upgraded from a 4th gen iPod to the new Video iPod and it's great, about the only thing I have to complain about is it takes a bit longer to boot up and the screen is suseptable to scratches.

Your rig is still pretty decent and I wouldn't bother upgrading unless you find it's not fast enough. If you go with a new motherboard you'll have to buy yourself a new Socket 939 processor a well.
