7800 Agp?

Will there be a 7800GS AGP? It wouldn't be a bad move on their part financially. It'd put them in a commanding position in the AGP market and that market is 70% of desktop upgrades according to research I've read.

I think this is worth 1 bump for the afternoon crowd since I know a lot of people are considering moving to PCI Express this Christmas. This might help them out possibly.

The date on this is this month and that's long after the cancellation notice was spread. I think they've changed their minds after seeing how large the AGP population still is. Like I said above, I read it was 70% and after seeing people list their systems in Dark and Light Online, I'd have to agree.

I'm not changing to PCIe until my rig is unable to run the games i like. I believe if Nvidia stops making AGP they will cutting their own balls off that go's for all manufactures .thats just my .02

Hmm i heard 7800gs will only be made for AGP users and the price will be insane (i think those chip makers want to urge us to move forward for PCI-E)

A friend (really good at computers) told me that the 7800gt will drop down to around $220 soon because Nvidia wants people to switch to PCI-E.

I think its mainly due to the GTX price drop and because of the new G71 and G72 Cores coming out soon

hmm are you sure? if your friend working for Nvidia heheh . grr switching to PCI-E is gonna cause me building a new PC, which is unaffordable for me at this time. Moreover, Intel/AMD will release their new chips soon so I would rather wait for another year or so to get the latest from Intel/AMD.
