If you do this mod, your doing it at your own risk. [Overclock.net] will not be responsible for damaged systems or components... If your unsure about the mods, I strongly suggest you do not implement them...

The Vdimm power supply is a "Linear Regulator" type that is running off of the 3.3V PSU Bus....

The "Standard 3.3V Mod", which connects a wire from the 3.3V ATX power connector(orange wire), to the Vdimm rail, should work on this board....

The 3V Mod that I have been describing on several motherboards should also work on ths board...

This involves connecting the Vdimm rail to a 3V point that almost every "Linear Regulator" Vdimm power supply has...

First, a typical FET. Note that the center Drain lead, may be cut short:

Here's the various points on the board:

The "3.0Vdimm Mod" is to connect the Source of the Q75 FET, to the Source of the Q77 FET right below it....

The "3.3Vdimm Mod" is to connect the Source of the Q75 FET, to the Drain of the Q77 FET, or to the +3.3V PSU rail which is any one of the orange wires....

Disclaimer:
Be aware that making this or any mod, voids the warranty on your motherboard. Further more there is no guarantee that any mod won't permently damage your board, CPU, and/or memory...

You are doing this Mod at your own risk....

It has been rumored that with a BIOS update, the vDIMM can go up to 3.1 volts. I know it was one of the Neo4's, but not sure which. I'll do some more searching.

bump.

Is there a bios that will allow higher voltages???

so if you want 3.3v do you just solder a wire from the 3.3v point to the vdimm point?
