Go with the dual-core unless you want to try to get an insane overclock with the FX's unlocked multipliers.

Wouldn't they still call it the FX-53? The 4000+ is clocked exactly the same, but the only difference (locked/unlocked mutlipliers) is a difference big enough to warrant that the two have different names.
