New Compter...New 2 OCing.....

Thread Starter
Hiya,
First of all thanks for reading this post from the new guy on the block...as you can see from my system spec it is reasonable and would like some feedback on what I can do to OC to it maxium but safest OC....for those who are interested I live in Fulford, York (UK), I am fortunately on the good side of 40 and have play and mucked about with computers from my first DX2 66 (think that was my first PC quite awhile ago), then onto a Pen75...the good old slow slow go and have a brew days....have built my own PC (s) for the last few years...cheaper and more fun especially at the end....now with this my lasest conquest I am looking to learn how to OC PCs to allow for a longer life-span in my household...or at least until my kids either complaint it is too slow or they break it....lol (but not always) have had a brief look around the site since joining yesterday and I know the information and knowledge to help is definitely within this forum...cheers Cass

Merry Christmas and a happy New Year to everyone

How could I forget to mention my little laptop...which is a godsend when I am away from home as it allows me to "game":-
Dell Insprion XPS Gen 2
2.00 Ghz
1280MB of DDR2 533mhz Ram
Nvidia GeForce Go 6800 Ultra
17" Wide UXGA glossy screen (which is a beaut)
80gig harddrive

Merry Xmas to you as well
If you've not already seen this guide, check it out first:
http://www.overclock.net/overclock.p...king-guide.htm
It's a generic guide to overclocking an AMD and isn't specific to your components, so feel free to ask about anything that is unclear.

EDIT: Also check out Sphere's guides to unlocking the X800 range in my sig. You might be able to get some extra performance out of your GFX

My point is no point !. Just highlighting what is required of you as a user here.
If you follow these then there is no problems and if there is, someone in admin will let you know...
