I just got myself a nice plasma TV (a big upgrade from the CRT I had), but I'm having some trouble with connecting the PC to it.
For reference:
TV: Samsung PN50B650
Video Card: 9800GT
Sound Card: Xonar D1
1 - The PC is connected to input "HDMI2/DVI" on the back of the TV. According to the manual, this input can accept both audio over HDMI, or audio through the stereo RCA jacks that are right next to it. But neither of them actually work. I get is a picture but no sound. But the PC is outputting audio - at the very least over RCA - because when I connect it directly to the stereo it works fine. I also tried it on a different HDMI input, and still nothing.
2 - The input for the PC keeps getting dropped randomly. The TV detects if anything is plugged into the ports, and when first connecting the PC it finds it just fine. But after a while of watching other stuff when you go back to the source list it's no longer there and the cable needs to be unplugged/replugged for it to detect it again.
Any ideas?

I wish I could find out so that I could come straight from the hdmi port on the motherboard but for now im just happy to have working audio thru the hdmi cable :sigh:
