Do you ever want to find friends on PC games without trying to reach them on AIM, IRC, etc.? Here are some alternatives to this.

Gametiger.net

This nice little website will allow you to search for players/servers for such games as Counter-Strike 1.6, CS:S, Quake 3, BF 1942, And UT 03/04. While the game list is a little dated, it is still somewhat useful.

X-fire

Are you sick of the many messaging programs you have to get on to get a good game going between you and your friends? X-fire is a messaging program made especially for gamers. It supports a large array of games, showing you what games your friends are playing. Not only does it show what game they are playing, but allows you to see what server they are playing on. With a right click, you can join them right in the action! If that isn't enough to get your head spinning, this program allows you message others in-game. With a mass amount of options, practically little-to-no CPU usage, and a user-friendly interface, X-fire will be sure to win over all gamers, n00bs and pros alike.

I hope this has helped. If you have any additions, feel free to give me feedback.
