New here, OC help: Asrock Dual Sata 939

Thread Starter
Okay, so here's the skinny. I've *JUST* got this new mb, and I've been reading through the site and have an issue that I think might be specific to my bios but wanted some opinions:

I have the Asrock 939 dual Sata MB and I'm running AMD Athlon 64 3000+ Processor S939, Venice.

There's a FAQ thread kicking around that I've been looking over primairly that seems to deal specifically with my MB and how to overclock.

I've updated the Bios to the OCworkbench 1.3 Bios. I've updated the ram timings, etc... I've done *ALL* of the suggested settings in my bios.

Here's my issue:

I can't change the processor speed. It's stuck at 200 and when I hit enter to bring up a list to change it, it doesn't let me change it at all. I can change the multiplier, but when I save it, it resets back to 9 x 200 = 1800mhz.
I don't know if I'm doing something wrong, but honestly, It's not letting me change the CPU speed at all. I don't even get the option.

What could I be doing wrong? HELP!!! lol

Thanks in advance!!

The multiplyer should only be able to be reduced!
On the 200 being stuck... I'd flash back or to a different version.

Stay with Bios 1.2 or OCWB beta bios

This ones are the most solid.

Flash OCWB1 bios. I've been running stable as rock for 2 months ago..computer running about 18 hours a day. Once you do that... i will be more than happy to guide you through overclock with this board step by step.... in the meantime ill do a little write up.

well it seems locked but there is a setting at the top wich allows you to change the settings which is called overclock mode you can change that between 2 settings cpu, pcie async and another setting i think choose between the settings and see if this alows you to change the fsb and multiplyer it is the second setting you choose because this setting allows you to overclock the pci-e seppratley or the cpu hope this helps i got my 3200+ up to about 2.35ghz with no vmod well i think it is the second setting but play around and see what you get
