Damn you nvidia for making me go through this sht just to overclock my card.
That happened to me after i renamed the .rom file after saving it.
Did you by chance rename it after saving through nvidia bios editor?

Well I created two files with different names and I even tried backing up the original to another file and just editing that. I keep getting the message.

I noticed it also says warning:board not detected and it suggested to get a newer version of nvflash. Which I did, I tried using the 5.25 version but it freezes whenever I even try to back the bios up. Are you getting that message too?

Is it still returnable? I hate to be blunt, but you can get alot better stuff for $50 than a 6200.

Well the bfg6200oc cost $130 from Best Buy. They had the plain 6600 (not gt) for $185. The 9550 was like a hundred. I'm not sure if they have a restocking fee if you return it, but I still have a lot of time left if I want to because I just got it.

What could you posiblly get for 50 bucks? I mean from a real store not ebay or online.

If you have compusa in your area this looks good for a B&M (brick and mortor i.e. real store).
http://www.compusa.com/products/prod...502&pfp=BROWSE

gefore 6600, you will notice a big jump from a 6200, because it has 8 pixel pipelines and is 128-bit.

But, if you can buy from online stores, like newegg.com you can probably get a 6600gt! for around $130.
Like this AGP one:

The one in compusa is the same card bestbuy was selling for $185. Looks like there is a compusa in chicago. The thing is I don't trust PNY anymore since I got the 4400 from them and it died so quickly.

I think I'll order a card over the internet and return this one. I needed one right away when my old one died, so ordering it wasn't an option.

Is there a good ati card I could get for the same price that would have better performance?

You can get a 9600XT or even a 9800Pro for that much and both cards are alot better than the 6200.

Srry, but I think he means if he can get an ATI card to compare to this EVGA 6600gt (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16814130220) that's $119usd AR.

Yeah I was wondering what ati card compares to the 6600gt, still I've always stuck with Nvidia so unless theres a much faster ati card for the same money, I won't go to the other side.

Thanks for giving me the link. Newegg has some really great deals. I'll get the 6600gt if you think it'll be a good performer. I'm also looking at the 256mb standard 6600 on that site. I know the gt will be faster, but I wonder if having just 128mb will be a limitation in terms of meeting minimum requirements for certain programs.

Thanks for all the help. Too bad I couldn't get the oc to work but if you hadn't told me I wouldn't have know I could have a much better card for the same $$$.
