I'm starting to think this is an ISP thing and also that server blocks ping requests in general. That's the only logical explanation. Damn you Verizon.

Also, I can't access AIM.com but on my neighbor's connection I can. Does that tell anyone anything?

RESOLVED: Alright well I was finally able to resolve the issue. I don't know why this worked but it did. I went into my router and released and renewed my external IP address to get a new one. As soon as it all propagated I can connect once again. Sorry to waste your time guys. I know you all tried to help. Trust me this is the first time I've seen this issue. I hope this can serve as an example for others in case they ever run into the same issue.
