Did I just unlock my Barton 3200???

Thread Starter
I swapped out my XP-M 2600 yesterday for a XP3200 and found that I was able to use all of the multis in the BIOS. I tried 200 x 8 and even 150 x 14 and everything booted up fine. I didn't get a chance to run any tests but I was really surprised that it happened. Does this mb unlock multis or did something special happen here? Even Crystal CPUID wouldn't allow me access to the multiplier management. I would love to post pics too, can someone tell me how to post screenshots?

thanks!

if you want to see in bios you have to get a digital camera and shoot a screeny of it that way.

as for unlocked multi's, make sure its recognized in CPUz as well, then most likely you have an unlocked barton you lucky dog.

Did you have to flash the BIOS to get the motherboard to accept the Mobile?

EDIT: To take screenshots, hit Ctrl + Prt Scrn and then paste into MS Paint.

I didn't flash the BIOS to get it to accept the XP-M. My guess was also that the mobile chip must have confused the mb or something. I will get some cpuz screenshots to post up.

Side question: do I have to host the screenshot on another site or can I upload directly to this site?
