Onboard 7.1 Audio Headset Problems :(

Thread Starter
Hey guys,
I recently got a new system (check my specs), and the board, EPoX 9NPA+ SLI, has 7.1 audio. Now I use a headset, so I put it into the front speaker out. Now the only problem is that it doesn't have any bass control. Is there any workaround this? On my old mobo, it had 5.1 audio and it was fine. What to do?

Thanks,
Jim

You can adjust your bass through your sound properties. And to be able to use a surround sound setup, you would need to be plugging in more than one connector. Usually three. One for center/subwoofer, one for front right/left, and rear left/right.

We're still talking about a headset right? The headset only has one connector, which I put in the line out and configured to be a headset port with a program from the mobo cd. However, there is no direct bass settings, only a sound effect codec I guess it is which I currently have on powerful to give it some, but limited bass.

The sound on this is Realtek AC'97 Audio, I already installed the drivers that came with it from the mobo cd if you were wondering.

Any help would be awesome,
Jim
