What is it with people and Dell monitors?! - Page 2

well, our monitor, is actually a philips panel with a dell badge.

See Dell have a clever marketting strategy, where they enter the market late, by find the best panel for a size (24"), put a few extra gubbins on it, stick a dell badge on it, and undercut everyone else in the market.

So, us the consumer, wins big time

On their lower sized monitors i am positive that they use Sony screens. I could be wrong though.

I DO know that Dell uses Sony CRT's. Again i could be wrong, but they did at one point. lol

I found this site while searching for "how to overclock" via google, as I am new to the whole gaming computer thing. I found this thread and had to submit my thoughts on this. I have had a 17", 19", and 24" dell LCD before (had the 24" for less than a week and returned it due to dead pixels), and my new monitor blows all of these out of the water from color representation, to response time (3 ms) and everything in between. Its the ViewSonic VX924. I have not experienced any ghosting whatsoever, and no complaints at all thus far with it.

My current computer:

Pentium Extreme Edition 3.2 ghz set @ 3.6 ghz
2GB Ram
2 x 7800 GTX 256 mb cards in SLI (not overclocked... yet... anyone wanna
